• Plastics, Microplastics, and Human Health Class

    Remote

    Megan J. Wolff, PhD, MPH, will lead an in depth 7-week online course on the emerging science of how plastics affect human health, what researchers are uncovering, and what these findings mean for policy and prevention.

  • 6th Edition of the International Conference MICRO 2026

    The aim of MICRO 2026 is to celebrate this community of researchers concerned with the challenge of Plastic Pollution from macro to nano, with a core focus on microplastics, as a means to:
    (i) Facilitate open access to the breadth of emerging & ongoing plastic pollution research;
    (ii) Identify current research frontiers, evidence needs, and new challenges; &
    (iii) Contribute a collaborative effort to our vibrant community.

  • Climate Health Society 2026

    Climate Health Society 2026 is a one-day virtual convening scheduled across time zones to reach participants in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, bringing together a broad diversity of voices across all sectors at the intersection of climate and health.

  • Science for Public Health Policy: Understanding correlation and causation

    Understanding whether one thing truly causes another is one of science’s greatest challenges—and one of its most important. In this webinar, Dr. David Kriebel will explore how scientists move beyond observing correlations to making stronger inferences about causation, especially when decisions about public health and the environment are at stake.

  • Plastics, Microplastics, and Plastic Chemicals: Emerging Impacts on Human Heart, Lung, Blood, and Sleep Health

    This virtual workshop will be led by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). It will bring together basic scientists, pediatricians, primary care physicians, maternal–fetal medicine experts, neonatologists, pulmonologists, cardiologists, nurses, pharmacists, epidemiologists, environmentalists, toxicologists, implementation scientists, data scientists, and community representatives to discuss the role of exposures to micro-nanoplastics (MNPs) and forever chemicals (perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances ) across the lifespan in heart, lung, and blood disorders to identify critical research gaps, challenges, and opportunities.
