PPC Webinar | Plastic Expelled: Exposing Industry Propaganda in Schools

The plastic industry—including some of the largest chemical, fossil fuel, and plastic producers in the world—is buying its way into U.S. public schools. They are funding and distributing highly biased plastic “education” programs and materials that frame plastic as safe, essential, and recyclable, despite the increasing evidence that plastic harms people and the planet.

On September 2, Plastic Pollution Coalition (PPC) will host a webinar on the plastic industry’s propaganda campaign in K-12 education. Panelists will discuss PPC’s new report on the issue, uncover industry’s tactics to infiltrate education with pro-plastic curriculum, and detail how we can get plastic “expelled” from schools!

Joining the discussion will be Yvette Arellano, Founder & Executive Director, Fenceline Watch; Madison Dennis, Senior Policy & Advocacy Manager, Plastic Pollution Coalition; and Amy Westervelt, Founder & Executive Director, Drilled.
