While data is the foundation of change, data alone does not transform healthcare systems. This presentation addresses the critical intersection of environmental science and healthcare leadership. We begin by defining the utility of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in identifying the hidden environmental costs of healthcare operations. However, the true challenge lies in implementation. This talk details a dual-pronged strategy: first, establishing technical proficiency through specialized LCA training for health professionals; and second, leveraging the Sustainable Healthcare Leadership Institute to overcome institutional inertia. Attendees will learn how to use environmental metrics not just as research outputs, but as levers for organizational transformation and global climate advocacy.
