Climate Health Society 2026

October 22 @ 6:00 am – 11:00 pm

The climate-health crisis is a challenge that no single profession can solve alone—but together, we can.

Climate Health Society 2026 is a one-day virtual convening scheduled across time zones to reach participants in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres, bringing together a broad diversity of voices across all sectors at the intersection of climate and health.

We invite professionals, academics, researchers, students, educators, experts and innovators from all disciplines and sectors to join us, share knowledge, explore innovative solutions and build meaningful international connections and collaborations. The program will feature work at the nexus of health and climate across the following topical areas:

  • Earth and Atmospheric Science at the Climate-Health Interface: integrating earth and atmospheric science, pollution, toxicants and exposure assessment, public health, clinical medicine and healthcare system capacity.
  • The Climate Health Economy: Innovation, AI, Energy, Sustainability, and Finance: bringing together data science, AI, finance, insurance, energy, sustainability and risk management.
  • Resilient and Healthy Communities: Housing, Food, Transportation, Waste, and Social Infrastructure: connecting healthcare, public health, urban planning, physical and social infrastructure, community capacity and cohesion, architecture, food systems, engineering, waste management, and policy.
  • Ambitious, Equitable, and Just: Climate Policy Around the Globe: linking, policy, governance, economics, law, justice, workforce resilience, adaptation, equity, and community leadership with a special focus on work originating from LMICs.

The Climate Health Society aims to bring together students and professionals from all disciplines and from around the globe to facilitate research, education, communication, and innovation in climate change adaptation and mitigation.

This online international conference is an opportunity for professionals and trainees across all disciplines with an interest in climate and health to share their work and learn from others. This 8-hour meeting is designed to allow presenters from the Eastern and Western Hemispheres to attend and to develop connections with mentees, mentors, peers, collaborators and colleagues from around the world. Topics have been chosen to highlight the breadth of professionals involved in climate and health work. Our overriding aim is to create a community that accelerates innovation, solutions, and action, where the exchange of knowledge across disciplines, sectors, and borders moves the field forward faster than any single profession can alone.

This inaugural meeting has the following goals:

  • Cultivate the next generation of climate health leaders, educating trainees, students and professionals at every stage of their career.
  • Foster international collaborations that advance the science of climate and health across borders and disciplines.
  • Disseminate cutting-edge research and clinical findings related to climate and health.
  • Center equity and ethics to build a shared understanding of how disparities and ethical considerations are worsened by climate change.
  • Accelerate innovation in climate adaption and mitigation by connecting diverse expertise to spark new ideas.
